Sail & Doxie was founded by Erik, Linn, and Nora, our sea-loving Dachshund. We are a recently married couple from Stockholm, Sweden, who have always shared a deep wanderlust and a desire to follow our own path. After an incredible 3 month backpacking journey through South and Central America in 2021/2022, we returned to traditional office life, Erik in finance and Linn in marketing. Then, in 2023, Nora joined our family, and our trio has been inseparable ever since.

By the autumn of 2024, we felt caught in the stressful, repetitive routine of the daily grind. We wanted more out of life: more adventures, more horizons, and more time together. Having grown up in a sailing family, Erik pitched the idea of buying a sailboat to travel the world. Linn, with practically zero sailing experience but a heart that rarely says no to an adventure, was immediately on board.

Quite naive and knowing very little about what kind of boat we actually needed, we bought a well kept 1980 Beason 33. We spent months restoring her into our floating home and finally cast off in June 2025. However, by the time we reached Denmark, we realized she was a coastal cruiser, not the offshore blue water boat we needed for the long journey ahead. So, we made the bold choice to sell her and upgraded to a 1999 Bavaria 37 to continue our journey south.

Many challenges, new places, highs, and lows later, we finally reached the Mediterranean on April 1st, 2026. We consider ourselves slow sailors, and we love it that way! We want to discover every hidden corner and unexplored anchorage along our route. It is the pace where we, and Nora, feel the happiest.

We have learned so much along the way and met countless incredible people. If you are a fellow sailor, we truly hope our courses cross paths someday!

Why Sail & Doxie merch? We started this brand because we have always loved fun prints and witty boat quotes. Boat lovers share a special passion for life on the water, and we wanted to create merchandise that reflects that fun, ocean loving lifestyle.
